John Strickland

John is a senior Aviation Consultant with 28 years experience in the commercial airline business. His clients include airports, airlines, industry partners and government bodies. He has held senior positions in a number of airlines including British Caledonian, British Airways, KLMuk and Buzz, specialising in revenue management and network development.  John was instrumental in the decision to establish the low cost operator Buzz and in the selection of new routes.  This included the strategy to open a number of secondary airports. He is also a regular presenter, chairman and moderator at a wide variety of industry conferences and events. He provides expert commentary on air transport industry issues for global media including the BBC, Bloomberg, CNBC, CNN, Sky and Al Jazeera and for a number of written publications including the Financial Times, Wall Street Journal, the Chicago Tribune, the Guardian and the Daily Telegraph. In 2003, John established JLS Consulting to offer commercial and strategic consultancy based on his wide industry experience.  He is a graduate of the University of York.
