Tina Dunkin

Tina Dunkin is a consumer affairs professional with over thirty year’s experience in international aviation within the private and public sectors. Most recently heading up the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) Passenger Advice and complaints team. Prior to her 11 years with the CAA, Tina’s earlier career included commercial and customer service management roles with Cathay Pacific Airways, Northwest Airlines (now Delta Air Lines), and a leading travel agency chain. An acknowledged expert in international and European aviation passenger rights legislation, Tina has represented the CAA at the European Commission in Brussels on EC regulation and complaint handling matters. She has a deep understanding of airline obligations regarding cancellation, delay, denied boarding and other forms of passenger disruption. This includes the E.U. legislation Regulation EC261/2004, recent Court of Justice of the EU (CJEU) rulings, recommended IATA practice, and experience of handling high volume demands as a result of major disruptions and changes to the law. Outside work Tina is actively involved in local community and charity work both in the UK, and also whilst based overseas in West and East Africa. She ran the London Marathon in 2004, 2010 and 2016. She lives with her family in Wimbledon, London.
